"The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.”
I’ve been trying to find time to get this issue of the newsletter finished and in your hands due to the news of importance that we try to share with you in a timely fashion. It can sometimes be very difficult to perform the balancing act of family, career, ministry, and many other activities pulling me in all directions. However, I am so blessed with the time the Lord has given me to be involved in ministry and mission work through my career, through my church, and through Teachers Saving Children®. As I go through the mounds of regular mail and email along with all the information received from the union, I look for the most important “life” news and also items that most of you may never have an opportunity to see in the mainstream media. I consider this newsletter the lifeblood of Teachers Saving Children®. It is our way of keeping you informed of what we as an organization are doing and also what is happening with life issues in the professional education arena. This newsletter also serves another very important purpose, keeping our pro-life colleagues united as we take a stand for life within a very darkened world. We must never grow weary in standing united together. We must persevere in repeating the truth again and again as long as we have breath.
As we have celebrated Easter this month, it is sad that our nation has reduced its meaning to bunny rabbits and eggs. If we as a nation would embrace the true meaning of Easter as the resurrection of Christ, there would be no abortion. The sacrifice of God’s only begotten Son to pay our debt gives meaning and purpose to all His creation – including the pre-born children. To take a life in light of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice is simply unthinkable. In the midst of busy schedules, let us take time not only to celebrate the hope we have found in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but also to share each day this hope so that lives will be touch and changed by the Creator of life.
By faith, the Teachers Saving Children® Inc. – National Board of Trustees last fall made a decision to once again apply for exhibit space in the huge display area during the pre-RA activities. With God’s help our exhibit puts the facts and the wonder of human development before the largest assembly of decision-makers in the teachers’ union. The purpose of our exhibit will be to once more promote and provide educational classroom materials especially for science and health teachers. Teachers Saving Children® will be investing over $1300 for the exhibit space rental fee and miscellaneous fees.
This year the TSC Inc. – National Board of Trustees has made the decision as funds are made available to purchase multiple copies of the video You Are a Masterpiece and the books You Are Special by Max Lucado and Tell Me Again about the Night I was Born by Jamie Lee Curtis. All three of these items will be excellent materials to use with pre-school and elementary age children. High school child care classes will also be able to use these materials. Teachers Saving Children® has found over the past several years a high interest in these types of materials that many educators and parents have never seen. It is our hope to raise the money needed to purchase a sizeable quantity of these materials as well as other valuable educational materials that will be given away free of charge.
Through your giving of $5, $10, $20, and more, the Lord continues to miraculously provide the finances for this special ministry opportunity, and for that provision we are grateful. However, additional contributions are needed as we continue to prepare for this exhibit. Prayerfully consider being a part of this special endeavor by sending in your contribution today.
Note: Please make checks payable to “TSC Inc. – National”. Please carefully note how the amount given is to be designated (“NEA Exhibit”) so that the contribution will be appropriately allocated.
New Jersey Teachers Group Criticized for Promoting Pro-Abortion March by Paul Nowak, LifeNews.com Staff Writer (Source: LifeNews.com, March 12, 2004)
Trenton, NJ (LifeNews.com) – Mary Kreiss-Papalski was shocked to open her New Jersey Education Association newsletter and find an announcement that the teacher’s union was inviting members to join the union in supporting and attending the pro-abortion March for Freedom of Choice Rally in Washington D.C. this April.
Not only was the invitation published in the March 2004 NJEA review, the announcement also stated that the Association’s Women in Education Committee, “with approval from the NJEA Executive Committee, will charter two buses for members.”
“When I read this I was quite upset,” said Kreiss-Papalski, an NJEA member and guidance secretary at a New Jersey high school. “I do not feel that my union dues should support this, nor do I think that a union who’s soul purpose is to represent those in the field of education should be supporting something that has nothing to do with education.
NJEA’s Director of Communications, Lynn Maher, said the announcement was in line with the union’s stance on abortion issue.
“NJEA has a pro-choice policy position,” Maher told Life News.com.
When asked if a similar invitation was made for the March for Life in January, Maher said that if the event was contrary to the Association’s policy, then they would not have endorsed it.
Pro-life groups are disturbed that the teacher’s union would endorse abortion – which have taken the lives of thousands of potential New Jersey students.
“It’s deeply disturbing that NJEA would align themselves with radical, extremist pro-abortion groups who continue to usurp legislative and parental authority,” said Marie Tasy, Public and Legislative Affairs Director for New Jersey Right to Life.
Pro-abortion groups supporting the March for Freedom of Choice Rally include Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business, NOW, the Feminist Majority Foundation, and the march’s organizer, NARAL.
Tasy pointed out that according to recent studies by the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the research wing of Planned Parenthood, New Jersey has the highest abortion rate of any state for teenagers, as well as the highest abortion rate for black teenagers.
“By associating themselves with the radical pro-abortion groups they underscore that they are part of the problem, and not part of the solution,” Tasy said of the NJEA.
“In light of the numerous public testimonies that abortion hurts women, NJEA’s position demonstrates that their best interests do not lie in the health and well-being of children,” Tasy told LifeNews.com. “Parents need to communicate to NJEA that this kind of harmful advocacy is not to be tolerated.
“We urge teachers who disagree with this philosophy to withdraw support or cancel their NJEA membership,” concluded Tasy.
On April 25th, in Washington D.C., the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will expose the truth--that abortion hurts women. The Campaign plans to surround the pro-abortion march’s lies with a prayerful witness of truth. Silent No More is inviting women to hold “I Regret My Abortion” signs--and men to hold “I Regret Lost Fatherhood” signs--while students, families, and supporters hold “Women deserve better than abortion” and “I’m Pro-life” signs. Instead of speaking their testimonies, pro-life sign bearers will demonstrate that NOW does not represent all people in this country. For more information click on www.silentnomoreawareness.org.
Also in Washington D.C., April 23-25, 2004, the Society for Truth and Justice will host the Operation Witness Campaign, a series of events highlighted by individuals lining the sidewalks along the parade route. The Society for Truth and Justice has received permits for certain areas of sidewalk along the route. For more information click on www.operationwitness.com.
Teachers Saving Children® is interested in reporting on these events. If pro-lifers attending spot any evidence of NEA’s support/involvement in the pro-abort march itself (or at NEA headquarters in D.C.), they are urged to contact Teachers Saving Children® with their eyewitness account for our June newsletter.

You may have seen “fetal photo shops” in your local mall. Going by names such as “Fetal Fotos,” “Prenatal Peek,” and “Womb with a View,” these businesses offer parents a unique opportunity to see their unborn children in a comfortable environment. Besides being a fun experience for the parents, these studios help provide pregnant women with critical information to make informed and personal choices about their pregnancy. Statistics show that women who see images of their pre-born child not only overwhelmingly choose life over abortion, but they often make lifestyle changes, such as stopping smoking or drinking, for the benefit of the child.
Yet even with these clear benefits the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is threatening regulatory action against ultrasound studios. In reality, the FDA should be grateful the business community is providing technology for the benefit of women and children rather than seeing this as an opportunity to regulate against healthy choices. And if the FDA is craving more regulations it should focus in on abortion clinics, which are currently less regulated than veterinary clinics. To send a message to the FDA, click on the link below.
