Now that the election season for this year is over, our responsibilities do not end. We still must spend time in prayer and in the Word of God. We still must seek truth and proclaim truth. We must allow the Word of God to penetrate and change our lives in a way that we compassionately touch the lives of others on a daily basis. Christ continually challenges each one of us to be sensitive to the needs of others. He shows us individuals through His eyes…the poor; the hurting; men and women in crisis pregnancy; those with financial needs; or persons, including the unborn, who depend upon a simple act of kindness form others in order to survive.
So, in the midst of busy schedules, let us take a moment to focus our thoughts on the miracle of Christmas. During this season may we especially remember the lives of the unborn children who may never live to celebrate life. Then may each one of us act on those thoughts by reaching out to someone in need. Let us join our hearts and hands together in making a difference in someone’s life today and in the year ahead. May we remain faithful to His calling and ministry as we persevere in standing together for the Sanctity of Life.
Have a blessed Christmas season!
Los Angeles CA, July 3-6: All policies of the NEA are adopted by the delegates to the annual Representative Assembly. These delegates are selected by their colleagues in the local and state affiliates to represent their views in the deliberation of the assembly.
We need to encourage NEA members who represent our philosophy to run for delegate; it is an unforgettable experience that every educator should have at least once in his or her career. We need delegates who believe that our dues money should not be spent to support abortion and should not be spent to support any issue that is not directly related to education.
If you have made the choice of maintaining union membership, please prayerfully consider becoming a “Voice for Life” amongst our colleagues. Now is the time to run for NEA delegate. It’s so simple. Just contact your NEA State Affiliate office and/or your local association president for complete information. Don’t make it complicated by campaigning, because if the Lord wants you to be a delegate, you’ll win!
If you cannot attend the 2005 NEA Representative Assembly in Los Angeles CA, please encourage other educators who share our views to consider becoming a delegate. Get involved either as a candidate or educate yourself about the candidates who are running for NEA delegate positions in your area. Ask them their views on the sanctity of life. Tell them your views. Then PRAY and VOTE for the NEA delegate who will best represent the children of this nation.
Last spring individuals contributed $3498.00 towards the Teachers Saving Children® exhibit at the NEA Expo 2004. Thank you for your generosity in assisting Teachers Saving Children® with this great opportunity and ministry.
By faith, the Teachers Saving Children® Inc. – National Board of Trustees has made a decision to apply for exhibit space at the NEA Expo 2005. The purpose of our exhibit area will be to promote and provide educational classroom materials, especially for science and health teachers. We will once again be putting the facts and the wonder of human development before the largest group of decision-makers in the teachers’ union. In 2005 we will need to ship our display to Los Angeles, which will increase our expenditures. So once again we are asking for your generosity so that we might expose more individuals to “awesome” photos, fetal models, and descriptive brochures that show children at various stages of development growing inside their mothers.
Please make checks payable to “Teachers Saving Children® Inc. – National” and designate any amount towards this endeavor as “NEA/Wonder of Life Exhibit.” Only designated amounts will be applied towards this endeavor. Thank you in advance for any amount you can contribute, no matter how large or small, and for helping to educate teachers about “The Wonder of Life.”

while we still have our freedom,
then we will lose our freedom
and neither our children nor our grandchildren
shall rise up to call us blessed.”

Please note: There were a large number of membership renewals paid prior to September 1, 2004. Thank you for helping the Board to have a better picture of what our finances would be like for the 2004-2005 fiscal year. A reminder that all memberships are now being handled through the National Office. Teachers Saving Children® does not solicit additional contributions beyond memberships, but does appreciate any additional contributions received throughout the year.
Michigan: The Michigan Board of Trustees continues to be in the midst of transition within their board. Anyone interested in serving as a member of the Michigan Board of Trustees should contact Ron Cain, statutory agent of the affiliation. The Michigan Affiliation is the first affiliation to have a perfect renewal year. All 2003-2004 members renewed their annual membership for the current 2004-2005 membership year. Congratulations! The next Michigan Board of Trustees meeting will be June 18, 2005.

Other State Affiliates: The National Office is still receiving inquiries about state affiliate chapters in other states. Interest has especially been shown in Massachusetts and Minnesota. If anyone from these two states is interested in helping to get an affiliate state chapter started, please contact the National Office for further information.
Although the time for formal application may not occur until later, there is definite potential for an affiliate state chapter within other states. Right now the best strategy for beginning a state affiliate chapter is to first build a foundation through a solid membership base. As we continue to work with state leadership, we ask for your prayers and your patience.
For complete details concerning the events of January 24th,
please contact your local Right to Life Chapter or State Right to Life office.
For those pro-life teachers and school employees who can't go to Washington DC,
it is suggested that you attend the pro-life marches or rallies being held in your own local areas.
