One sows and another reaps. John 4:37
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. I Corinthians 3:6
In the endeavor to neutralize the NEA on abortion, it has been my privilege to be one who planted. An ideas man. A stimulator. But, now, it is time to allow those who are called to water and reap to perform their tasks.
Although there have been many "at large" TSC members throughout America, only in Ohio did a solid, on-going, leadership core-team develop.
Recently, I commended the Ohio leadership for their management style, administrative acumen, and execution of projects which were superior to those of any other part of TSC to date: including my own. I asked if they would consider leading the fight at the national level.
Therefore, TSC, as it existed out of New Jersey, is dissolved. A new organization of pro-life school employees will be based out of Ohio. I encourage you to enroll as a member.
As a member of the new organization, I will still be active in the movement in taking a stand for the lives of the unborn. Thank you for your support in prayer and deed over these past six years.
Yours in Christ,
Bob Pawson
It is hard to believe that it is October already. For most of us that means we are all busy with our students as well as with our families and other personal interests. However, the battle for life becomes more intense each day as the lives of unborn children continue to be taken from us.
We have seen healthy growth and interest in TSC. Our presence and visibility throughout the state of Ohio and across the nation are increasing. There are many exciting things happening with TSC. This newsletter will share details with you about the most recent happening - the incorporation of TSC-National here in Ohio.
I want to personally thank each Ohio Board member for their strong support and wisdom as decisions are made throughout the year. I am also thankful for the support of each individual member.
The need for an organization such as TSC is vital in today's society. The type of organization and impact we will have will be dependent upon the number of people nationwide that we represent. Even if you do not belong to the NEA or the AFT, remember that these national unions represent the teachers of America.
Remember, we can make a difference! Get involved by helping us spread the news about TSC so that unborn lives can be saved!

#Note: Reimbursement made to the Executive Director for expenses from 1990-91 fiscal year, which was the year the Ohio Chapter was organized.
Just an additional comment about the Ohio Fiscal Report. This year there was a large number of membership renewals paid prior to September 1, 1994. This increase helped the Board to have a better picture of what our finances would be like for the 1994-95 fiscal year. Ohio TSC does not solicit additional contributions beyond memberships, but does appreciate any additional contributions received throughout the year.
1. The Board of Trustees approved the name of Sheila Shepherd of Cambridge, OH to fill the open seat on the Board.
2. The Board unanimously passed a recommendation to incorporate a national organization of Teachers Saving Children® in Ohio. Please read the article on TSC-National elsewhere in this newsletter.
3. The Board decided to make application for a bulk mailing permit.
4. The Board decided that a workshop proposal for the RTL July 1995 Convention will be submitted to National Right to Life.
5. The Board approved the 1994-95 budget:

As a result of the growing concern regarding the pro-abortion stand of national teacher unions, specifically the NEA and the AFT, a Teachers Saving Children® National corporation has been formed in Ohio. TSC-National will be a separate entity from the TSC Ohio Chapter. The interim governing body will be the current Ohio Chapter TSC Board of Trustees with Connie Bancroft serving as the Executive Director.
The fiscal and membership year is from September 1 - August 31. During this first year, the Board of Trustees will file necessary incorporation papers as well as other necessary papers with the IRS. A national Constitution and Bylaws will also be written. Once the proper paperwork is completed, national publicity materials will be written and printed. In the meantime, the Ohio TSC newsletter and publicity materials will be used for the national organization as well.
Activities at the national level will include cooperating with different pro-life caucus groups working at both state affiliate and national NEA Representative Assemblies.
One of the goals of TSC-National will be to locate key leaders in each of the other 49 states. These leaders will be contacted and encouraged to form state chapters. All of these 49 states will have the opportunity to form and incorporate a State Chapter of TSC after September 1, 1995. Procedures for starting a State Chapter will be outlined in the National Constitution and Bylaws.
The national portion of the Ohio 1994-95 dues has been the initial deposit for TSC-National. The following TSC-National budget has been established by the interim Board of Trustees.

Membership is open to all pro-life/pro-family educators and concerned citizens who agree with our purpose to establish among professional educators' organizations a respect for all human life from conception to natural death. The membership form is available and can be used for 1994-95 TSC-National memberships.
The membership year is from September 1 - August 31. Annual dues are $25.00. A reduced rate of $10.00 is available for college students who are presently enrolled in a college or university undergraduate degree program and for retired educators who are currently receiving retirement benefits. Contributions and membership are NOT tax deductible.
Although memberships and contributions are accepted throughout the year, we encourage you to send in your membership as soon as possible to receive full membership benefits. Those individuals sending in their memberships prior to December 1st can still receive full membership benefits in a timely fashion.
A special note to Ohio individuals - your current Ohio membership automatically affiliates you with the national organization. You do not need to send in a membership form unless you need to renew your membership or join us for the first time.
Our newest brochure is entitled "Participation in Teacher Unions: Your Rights, Responsibilities, and Options." This brochure outlines the options an individual has available regarding membership in the NEA. This information can also be used if you are in an AFT union school district. Copies of this brochure are available by contacting TSC.
Many local associations are not represented or are under-represented at these assemblies - sometimes just because there is no one willing to be a delegate. Yet it is so important for each local to be represented and that the "voice of the members" be heard. Since each state affiliate has their own Constitution & Bylaws, please check with your local president or your state affiliate for details about becoming a delegate.
