    • BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

    October 7, 2006: The Teachers Saving Children® Ohio Chapter Board of Trustees met in Columbus, Ohio, for their regularly scheduled Fall meeting. The following are highlights of some of the items that were discussed.

    1. The Board of Trustees approved Judy Bruns as its representative to the National Board for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.

    2. The Board of Trustees decided to host a dinner in the Southwest Region of the State in the spring.

    3. The Board of Trustees amended the Constitution & Bylaws tightening their policy with the Administration of Funds.

    4. The Board of Trustees approved the 2005-2006 fiscal report and the following 2006-2007 budget:

    Public Relations
        Printing 750.00

Teachers Saving Children® Inc. of Ohio does not solicit additional contributions beyond memberships, but does appreciate any additional contributions received throughout the year.

    The Ohio Teachers Saving Children® Board of Trustees would like to express their thanks to everyone who has taken the time to renew. As of September 30, 2006 there are 112 paid Ohio Teachers Saving Children® members. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. If you have not yet done so, there is still time to join and receive full membership benefits. Membership cards will be mailed in mid-October.

    MAKE YOUR MARK ON OHIO - VOTE

    ELECTION DAY - NOVEMBER 7, 2006


    As we all know, this year’s election in Ohio is vital to both our state and nation. It is important for all registered voters to go to the polls this year and express their freedom of choice through voting. The biggest reason people give for not voting is that they do not know enough about the candidates and the issues. Included in this issue is information regarding the candidates for Ohio governor.

    In addition, Ohio Roundtable is a great resource for information on state-wide candidates and issues. To receive information on specific candidates and the five state ballot issues, contact Ohio Roundtable at 1-800-522-VOTE or log onto www.USAvoter.info.

    REMEMBER: Responsible citizenship is no accident! Get informed and vote on November 7th.
