    • BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING


    October 6, 2007: The Teachers Saving Children® Ohio Chapter Board of Trustees met in Columbus, Ohio, for their regularly scheduled Fall meeting. The following are highlights of some of the items that were discussed.

    1. The Board of Trustees approved, with regret, the resignation of Pam Hall as a member of the Board of Trustees. Her resignation is effective August 31, 2008.

    2. The Board of Trustees approved an advertising campaign to inform educators of our organization.

    3. The Board of Trustees approved the 2006-2007 fiscal report and the following 2007-2008 budget:

    Public Relations

    Please note: There were a large number of membership renewals paid prior to September 1, 2007. In addition, there was a large expense this summer as we reprinted the brochure. Thank you for helping the Board to have a better picture of what our finances would be like for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. A reminder that all memberships are now being handled through the National Office. Teachers Saving Children® Inc. of Ohio does not solicit additional contributions beyond memberships, but does appreciate any additional contributions received throughout the year.

    OHIO 2007-2008 MEMBERSHIPS


    The Ohio Teachers Saving Children® Board of Trustees would like to express their thanks to everyone who has taken the time to renew. As of September 30, 2007 there are 126 paid Ohio Teachers Saving Children® members. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. If you have not yet done so, there is still time to join and receive full membership benefits. Membership cards will be mailed later this month.

    MAKE YOUR MARK ON OHIO - VOTE

    ELECTION DAY - NOVEMBER 6, 2007


    Although this is considered an off-election year, every election, including local elections, is vital to both our state and nation. It is important for all registered voters to go to the polls this year and express their freedom of choice through voting. The biggest reason people give for not voting is that they do not know enough about the candidates and the issues. Please take some time to get informed by contacting local candidates – especially those running for Local Board of Education positions – and inquiring as to where they stand on important issues.

    REMEMBER: Responsible citizenship is no accident! Get informed and vote on November 6th.
