THE CONFLICT: NEA MEMBERSHIP AND CHRISTIANITY

Finn Laursen, Executive Director of Christian Educators Association International, and Connie Bancroft, Executive Director of Teachers Saving Children® Inc., stand in front of the Teachers Saving Children® exhibit at a program in Celina, Ohio.
Some Ohio teachers traveled 3-4 hours in order to attend the program “The Conflict: NEA Membership and Christianity,” delivered in Celina, Ohio, Sunday evening, September 21st. The presenters were veteran NEA delegates who had accumulated years of documented evidence linking NEA to liberal positions on abortion and the homosexual lifestyle. Guests at the program were appalled by NEA’s 2006-2007 list of expenditures that included hundreds of thousands of dollars given to organizations that Biblical Christians would oppose in ideology. Mouths gaped during two video clips, one of late-term abortionist George Tiller speaking at the Young Women’s Conference, hosted by the Feminist Majority Foundation in the NEA Headquarters building last March. Tiller, at one point, said with seeming pride the he had aborted babies up to the day before their due delivery date. Another video, It’s Elementary, a training video that received endorsements from two former NEA presidents, defied Biblical teaching on the traditional family.

The program presenters quoted numerous Bible verses in citing Christian opposition to a myriad of statements in NEA’s Resolutions (beliefs/principles) document. The presenters also showed ties between certain NEA staff members and legalized-abortion advocacy.

Teachers Saving Children® Inc. hosted their impressive exhibit display at the program, and it was very well received. Connie Bancroft, Executive Director of Teachers Saving Children® Inc., and Finn Larson, president of the Christian Educators Association International were introduced as special guests in the audience.

Due to numerous requests from teachers and concerned parents, it is likely that the presentation will be offered again in Ohio quite soon. Contact with the presenters and information about this program can be made through Teachers Saving Children® Inc.
